Sumatra Meukat

This lot comes to us from a group of 450 farmers that are members of the Meukat Komuditi Gayo cooperative in the Takengon Central Aceh region of Sumatra. Meukat Komuditi Gayo was founded in 2017 with the goal of uniting people with a strong passion and dedication to coffee advance the coffee production and the welfare of coffee farmers in the region. They share that their coffee is special since it comes from a group of small farmers with specialty coffee farms as small as ½ hectare in size on the mountains and slopes of the Takengon Central Aceh region of Sumatra. Additionally, the Meukat Komuditi Gayo cooperative contributes 10% of their income to support environmental development programs and provide trainings to develop sustainable cultivations while also increasing quality and quantity of their production.
